This is a short article as we are in midterm period and it’s not very fun… We do encourage you to go, it’s a really nice break from studying!
What Is It ?
Every year during the months of September and October, the Botanical Garden of Montreal celebrates the Chinese and Japanese cultures through the Lantern Festival.
This year, the Chinese Garden has a dragon symbolizing China. It is accompanied by nine offsprings, protecting the various pavilions. The flying red-crowned cranes you see around, symbolize of the friendship between Montreal and Shanghai.
When you go through the Japanese Garden, you need to pay close attention to the lights. They symbolize the seasons and sudden changes in nature. Walk through the garden and admire the beauty of the pavilions lighted by the subtlety of nature.
How To Get There ?
This is the easiest part if you’re a student of Concordia living on the downtown campus. Take the STM Green Line towards HonorĂ© Beaugrand.
Surprise surprise !!
Although we will not be posting for three weeks because of midterms, our Instagram will still be active. When we do post again, it will be for our little detour to New York City!! Needless to tell you we are very excited about it!!
